Hey, I’m Julie, owner/operator of Julie Pequin Yoga since 2019.  I have a love of life and that life involves the practice of yoga.  I am a forever student, learning, evolving as time moves.  I love to offer my teachings of yoga in a variety of styles weaving new things in as I learn them.  I’m pretty sure I haven’t taught the same class sequence twice in my almost 7 years and thousands of hours of teaching as I am an “add lib” sort of girl.   I am a born and raised BC girl and call Alberta home now for the past 26 years.  I am lucky girl who is happily married to a local businessman, we have 3 fantastic grown kids, 5 amazing grandkids and 1 crazy family pup.  I am a frontline healthcare worker for the past 28 years, primarily in rehabilitation and remain in awe of the privilege I receive each day working with the residents, families, volunteers and fellow colleagues.   I have always had a love of fitness, to be heart healthy and now that passion comes with a sprinkle of longevity.   I continue to learn and study the ancient teachings of Ayurveda and practice what makes me feel good from the inside out.  I love to share what I know, read a good book, craft, cook, sit in the sun, have family get togethers, play cards or games with friends, see things from a different perspective and my favorite color is purple.   Julie Pequin Yoga offers weekly yoga classes in 4 different styles, beginner and intermediate levels.  As the adventure calls, I have provided specialty classes, workshops, half/full retreat days, overnight retreats and worked alongside many amazing collaborating teachers. My training includes: 200hr YTT, 300hr YTT, Level 1&2 Yin Yoga, Level 1&2 Yoga Nidra, Level 1 Meditation, Restorative Yoga, Chair Yoga, Trauma Informed Yoga, Level 1 Aromatherapy and currently working on an Ayurveda Diploma.
